Professor Jae Kyu Lee is professor of Management Information Systems and Electronic Commerce at the KAIST Business School. He received his PhD from Wharton in 1985 and has served as a faculty member at KAIST since graduation.

He has been a path-breaker in the area of MIS and Electronic Commerce. He has founded numerous organizations in the Asia-Pacific region, including Council of Korea Electronic Industry, International Center for Electronic Commerce, Korea Intelligent Information Systems Society and Pacific Asia Conference on Expert Systems.

He also currently serves as editor and associate editor of many academic journals such as
Electronic Commerce Research and Applications (Editor, Elsevier), Journal of Global Information Management (Associate Editor), International Journal of Electronic Commerce (Associate Editor, USA), Decision Support Systems (Associate Editor, Elsevier), Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce (Associate Editor, USA), Expert Systems with Applications (Associate Editor, Pergamon Press), Intelligent Systems in Accounting, Finance, and Management (Associate Editor, USA).

Professor Lee has written thirteen books and has received more than ten different best paper awards.
