Pietro Doran has over 27 years of Real Estate industry experience. He is Chairman, Principal Partner and Founder of Doran Capital Partners (“DCP”), a diversified real estate investment and fund management firm established in 2002. DCP is the first Korea based fund manager with over $1 billion in discretionary and non-discretionary capital under management. From 2002 through 2005, Mr. Doran served as a founding partner, Managing Director and Senior Investment Officer for the New Songdo City development, a $24 billion project considered to be the largest privately financed real estate development in Asia. Mr. Doran structured $1.85 billion in financing, secured all preliminary approvals and managed the 100% presale of 2,000 apartment and office condominiums.

Prior to establishing DCP, he was a senior investment advisor at Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (“MSREF”), President of Morgan Stanley Properties Korea, Managing partner and Chief Investment Officer at Gale International Korea, co-founder of John Buck Company Korea, and founder of Brooke Hillier Parker Korea.

Considered a pioneer in laying the foundations of Korea’s modern real estate market Mr. Doran founded Korea’s first international property services company in 1991 and later established the nation’s first 100% foreign owned real estate firm later acquired by MSREF. Mr. Doran is credited with advancing modern standards in real estate appraisal and property valuation through introduction of income based valuation methodology in Korea. Mr. Doran has written many articles and papers on the Korean and Asian property market and is the author of the increasing integration of North Asia’s property markets entitled:”The Yellow Sea Economics Basin: The Rising Dragon of Asia”. Mr. Doran is a frequently invited speaker to both Korean and International property symposiums and conferences.

He holds a MS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and received a BS from the University of Massachusetts (Cum laude).
