Chung Won Kang is President and Chief Executive Officer of Seoul’s KB Financial Group Inc.  His previous roles have included Chief Representative of Korea’s Bankers Trust Securities Corporation; Chief Country Officer for Bankers Trust Group, Korea and Deutsche Bank Group, Korea; President & CEO of Seoul Bank; and Advisor, Kim & Chang Law Firm.  He is a Board Director of the Institute of International Finance (IIF), and a member of the IIF’s Special Committee on Effective Regulation and Emerging Markets Advisory Committee, as well as a Board Member of the Asia Pacific Bankers Council.  Kang has previously served as a Member of the Financial Development Committee of the Ministry of Finance & Economy; a Visiting Scholar at the International Monetary Fund; and an Advisor at the World Bank Group.  He holds a B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College and an M.A. in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
